Went for blood work today, (walk in lab) getting worried/concerned again. still 10 days till EPS. Looking at my heart rate data with the halter monitor and my Garmin I have approx 120 of data low of 30 high of 90, average for 120 hours is 43.5. The heart rate was taken at different time over the last 7 weeks. This is the actual avg for toatal hours not a guess. I guess it really does not mean much except my heart rate is slow till the test is done, however from what I've read it is looking like a PM? Maybe. Just wish feb 7th was yesterday and I knew the answer. thanks for having the forum. This does help me.
i moved this post from a comment on my origanal post, because not sure what topic i put it under or if it really matters anyway.

This Friday

Now only 3 ½ days till the test (EPS-Friday AM EST).
However after much more web surfing , lots of reading on athletic web posting sites. I am feeling much better about my slow heart rate.
Although I am not Lance (Armstrong) or Ryan (Hall) many other runners bikers claim very low HR. Looks like the important thing is that HR does increase during activities, which my does. I am able to maintain a HR in the 140's for ½ to 1 hour while running , or was before the DOCTOR said no exercise till after the testing is done. Long two months.
Still a little worried about the test- now more about the test itself than the outcome. Like most people the Hospital is not my first choice of where to spend a Friday, even if it does get me out of work.
Anyway like I have said in my other two post writing and reading here does help calm the nerves. Hopefully Saturday will be a post saying all is fine and Thank you for having me here for two weeks.

I have a well tuned pacer. I hardly know I have it. I am 76 year old, hike and camp alone in the desert. I have more energy than I have had in a long time. The only problem is my wife wants to have a knob installed so she can turn the pacer down.

WJS:
1) KEEP the *&^%^^%%$ appt. Don't wimp out now!
2) You've been through enough Hell for anyone your age, including passing out 6 times. How many Flippin' times do they want you to pass out before you get a PM? It only takes ONE to get yourself killed from some secondary event. OR...you could kill someone else in an auto accident.
3) Averages are meaningless. A man standing w/ one foot in a burning campfire & the other on a cake of ice is on the average comfortable. High rates do not cover up for low rates. If you have a significant number of low rates, there is a chance you will pass out & get hurt. High ones yesterday or tomorrow are worthless.
4) Anyone who ever sports a 30 HR is in trouble.
5) If you sport an average of 43.5, that means there are a lot of them down in the 30's. Unless you are an Olympic class runner, IMNSHO, that's pretty darned low!
6) If you are taking a vote, I'm for the PM.
