frustration

Hey guys! 25 y old female in the uk here. Had a dual lead pm implanted in jan as heart kept pausing for like 17 secs at a time. I felt a lot better no more passing out. ..lots more energy. It was all very rushed and ive kind of been abandoned by my consultant now I've had the op. Last 3 weeks ive started getting dizzy again but whenever I go for my check up im sure the woman thinks ive lost my marbles. I told her I keep feeling shocks in my chest and she doesn't believe me lol??? Feel so frustrated..next check on 14th and im worried coz im feeling dizzy again somethings happened to pm :(

Hi, I I had long pauses like you my longest recorded was 16 secs. I had my first pm a year ago and my second one this February due to infection. I guess what I have learnt is that you have to make a fuss and be noticed time and time again until things are sorted out for you. You can always ask the lady that does the pm Check to make you an appointment to see the consultant. That's what I did. I'm in the UK to. Good luck

Nellie, I feel the same way. I was feeling a thumping when I went into afib, doctor's office told me to get over it, which I have. However, feel faint again nog same as before PM but still feel faint. Also feeling electric shock like moments. They told me 2 weeks ago there was nothing wrong with me, I am trying to go with it and hope it will get better. I feel especially weak in the car over distances when I am driving.

sometimes you have to stand your ground to get past the technician and talk to the dr. If you are dizzy, you need them to take you seriously.

You know you're wired when...

I'm 35 and got my pacemaker a little over a year ago. It definitely is not a burden to me. In fact, I have more energy (which my husband enjoys), can do more things with my kids and have weight because of having the energy.
