PM implant Jan-08,14

I had my PM implanted 4 weeks ago today. Tomorrow I go in for the interrogation, a little nervous because this is all new to me. I have been following restrictions closely, and hopefully everything checks out good. I use to be really active, working out 6 days a week, I'm just a little nervous to jump back into it. I seen different post on requirements from not lifting your arm above heart/ should from 1 to 6 weeks. What are your thoughts?
exercise

If you feel up to exercise, go for it! Don't lift anything heavy for 6 weeks and keep your arm below shoulder level. Other than that, anything goes as long as you feel ok.
Doing nothing is the worst thing you can do! Six weeks of inactivity will make it that much harder to get back to where you were. Also, if you don't move your arm normally (other than keeping it low), the shoulder can freeze.
whats interrogation?

Ive no idea what to do there seems to be so many different opinions? I just dont want to risk pulling the leads out. I have my first app at hosp since implant on Tuesday. .... no idea what it's for? Just assumed like to check wound but will it be a interrogation? What is an interrogation? X

Interrogation is just when they run a computer report to see what the pm has been doing since the last check.
thanks

Thanks traceyE. Would they do that if ive only had pm just over two weeks when I see the hospital Tuesday? Xx
You know you're wired when...
You have a new body part.

I've seen many posts about people being concerned about exercise after having a device so thought I would let you know that yesterday I raced my first marathon since having my pacemaker fitted in fall 2004.
Thanks paul

Wow your doing loads. Im just sooo worried about pulling the wires out as it was such a painful experience having them in. Ive been told nothing for 6 weeks but its good to know your doing things without a problem...... summer??? Whats that all weve got at the moment is rain and knee high mud lol xxx
