Didn't mean to give the impression that I wasn't impressed with this site. Only joined 2 weeks ago but have been reading posts for months. My mother died of heart disease when she was 49. I was 12 at the time. She knew she was dying & didn't tell anyone. There was a problem with the cardiologist. Most of my family is in healthcare. My cardiologist that with the family history & that I had virus in the last 10 years that affected the heart. They were surprised that I have no coronary artery disease. Actually, so I was. I have been getting my patient records from the hosp. I was surprised at the things that the Drs don't tell you.

Glad you have used this site. A of good folks do their best to assist others. Good luck, I know you have a lot to deal with. A tennis buddy of mine was hit with a virus and went from very active to disabled in a matter of weeks. He eventually had a complete heart transplant and is still doing great 10 years later. Hope all goes well and the PM gets your ejection fraction back up to a more healthy level.

Hope you don't mean you won't be coming to the site any more. I never took it that you were saying anything against the site. People tell you "chin up" but sometimes you are just not ready for that. You have to go through each stage of emotions one at a time and no one goes through at the same pace. Stay with us. You will find it very helpful after you get your ICD. Within months, you will be helping others.

Sorry, I couldn't resist. :)
I think drew was referring to his last post a few threads down from this one.

I didn't think you meant this site. Glad you cleared that up.
Hopefully you will feel better after your device is implanted and your EF will improve.
Welcome,
