Beautiful Day to Rejoice--62nd Anniversary

Approximately 15 months ago, my dear husband had a pacemaker implanted for sick sinus syndrome. He is now 86-1/2 years of age and in fairly good health although with several intervening problems which have been handled and "patched up" several times. I have depended on this Pacemaker Club for answers to so many questions shortly after the PM implantation when he had problems. I am very thankful for all of the help that I have received.

Today is Easter Sunday and I am just so grateful to still have my precious husband still walking upright and laughing and smiling. On this same day on Easter Sunday, April 5, 1953, we were married at 4:00 p.m. That was 62 years ago. We have had a beautiful life together raising 4 children, 7 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. We have been so blessed. Even though we both have health problems, hopefully we will be back at year 70 to tell you all about it.

Thanks to all of you for helping us get through another year.

I am going to try to post a picture, but I am not sure that I am that tech savvy.

Beautiful testimony, Anna and Bill, and congratulations on your anniversary.

I can relate to your deep sense of gratitude at Bill having this second chance. I received my pacemaker just three weeks ago today (to address a full heart block). My case does not fit the classic profile; the doctors have concluded that the issue is familial (two now-deceased family members had symptoms similar to mine but we speculate their condition went undiagnosed). I, too, am deeply grateful to be alive (thanks to my skilled medical team and "Pacey," my St. Jude Medical PM).

Wishing you God's continued blessings.

...very few people who made that milestone - 62 yrs.

Sounds like you have gone through life just plain spoiling one another.

Hearty congrats to you both. Well Done!
