Father

my father recently had a pacemaker placed but he didn't attend the orientation. What can we expect or where can we go to get another orientation?

Hang in there for the day

This is as good a place as any. All sorts of PM Hosts will wander in and give you a better one than the "Official" orientations.

It's early yet, I am on coffee duty today - had to get up & make the virtual coffee for the rest of the denizens to wake up for. Have a cup...

I'm awake now.

I just wanted to say that I never had, nor have I ever heard of an "orientation". Didn't know they existed, so I don't know what I missed. :(

So I have to agree....this is a great place to start. Gather his/ your questions and ask away!

Plenty of material out there

There's plenty of material out there. You can pick it up in doctor's office, hospital, care facility, heart charities, etc.

My statement is - everyone with heart problems are the same - everyone with heart problems are different. You'll see different postings from members on this forum where everyone says pretty much the same thing, then other postings where we point out each individual is different. So it will depend upon your Dad as to what he can expect.

Some of us have plumbing issues, others electrical issues. After that it's combinations and permutations of plumbing, electrical, and other complications. So each is different.

This is probably the best forum for getting your questions answered. There's a lot of tough love too.

Hang in there. Hope your Dad is getting better.
