Hi All and thank you for all information. I am 4 1/2 months pacemaker post op with no problems with recuperation. Right after PM, I had open heart surgery from a lead making a hole in the heart but even with that, my recovery has been good. Recently I have been sore in the pacemaker area, a small area is black/blue. A PM check is scheduled for 7 weeks, MD visit in 8 weeks. Should I just monitor this soreness? If it gets worse, guess I would see the primary MD. Any thoughts?
Thank you!

I'd also get it checked out sooner rather than later, even though it reads more like a bang of some kind than an infection. Best of luck John

If you didn't somehow cause the bruise to your device area (banged it somehow) then I would have it checked out.
After 4 months a sudden bruise is not normal. Don't wait 2 more months. If it is anything you want to catch it early.
Good luck,
