Disney

Going to Disney in April. Was told I cannot go on roller coasters & Tower of Terror! Really! It's Disney! I'm not going on Space Mt. But Thunder Mt? & Tower of Terror are my favorites! Anyone else been on them? Any Problems? Have an ICD. Thoughts! I' aware of the magnet fields.

I do

I'll preface my response by saying I have a pm, not an icd, and I've had it for years so my leads are not new. Drs vary widely in their instructions/limitations. My dr is pretty liberal, he says forget about the pm and live my life. If we followed park instructions to the letter, we'd spend our whole vacation on the carousel and watching shows. I live 2 hrs from Orlando so have spent many hours in the parks, mostly riding rides that have warnings for heart patients ;o) I don't get on new coasters with the big magnetic brakes, like Manta at Seaworld. Other than that, I don't let the pm hold me back.

Thanks. Couldn't see living my life without a few more drops on Tower of Terror! :)

Have fun

My friends laugh at me walking past the "individuals with heart conditions should not ride this" signs. Have a good vacation.

Thumbs up

Thanks. I'll just keep my eyes closed going by the Heart warning signs !

Had my ICD implanted 3 years ago. Was told the same about rides from my cardio doctor.
Disney is for kids, go to Universal instead. THE BEST RIDES ! Halloween Horror Nights don't miss it. Enjoy yourself !
