IPG

You have an IPG. It is an "implantable pulse generator" which is simply a PM that has a feature called rate adaptive. It is capable of increasing your rate with activity (if your doc has it turned-on). It will not shock you. It is not an ICD or CRT. Those are devices designed to deliver a shock as needed.

Hi,
From your post, you seem to have been shorted on information/instructions. Your medical care should have educated you both verbally and with printed material before and after your diagnosis/implant. Please get with your care and establish communication both for your safety and your peace of mind. If they are indifferent or fail to communicate, please consider different medical care. You deserve complete care.
