Had my 4 week post implantation appointment today and my pacemaker is working beautifully. Only paced 1% of the time in the atria and something negligible like .01% in the ventricle. Had about 5,000 PVC's which they said were normal. It is there if I need it so I won't pass out from what my EP doc said was 2nd degree heart block. The PA also said if I only use it this little it says it will last 16 1/2 years! I imagine as I age it could be more likely that I would experience heart block, since I have LBBB and the Right Bundle Branch does double duty and it could not prove to be reliable which would equal heart block right? I'm just glad my doctors had the foresight to fit me with this device to prevent another syncope or even death. Thank you folks at Medtronic too!

I consider my device to be so reliable, that I never think about a failure.
Glad for you

Glad your PM is working so well. I'm happy for you.
We keep hearing about the bad stuff. More than a few have come on the site and shared the good news. I feel it's great.
I was ready for all the bad stuff, was pleasantly surprised at the good stuff. Because of my PM: I have a full heartbeat now. I don't gasp for air all the time. I'm no longer cold all the time. I don't get dizzy when I stand up.
Glad to hear your good news. Hope things continue to get better!
