veins around my pm

Hi everyone. I received my first pm on April 25 of this year at the age of 32. I'm sure this is normal but I just noticed today that I have veins wrapping around my pm going towards my arm. No pain or anything and I'm sure they are settling in. I don't recall my Dr. Warning me about that. Is that normal, or should I be concerned?

Hi I'm not quite sure I even understand your post correctly but for your peace of mind I suggest going to see your EP. Is it on the arm on the same side of the implant? You may have sluggish blood flow in that arm if your EP inserted the leads through a vein. Are you on aspirin or coumadin?
I'd say better err on the side of caution and have it checked out. In the meantime a warm compress could help with pain and swelling if any.

I'm not on any medication or in any pain. They are on my chest going toward my arm. There is a vein below the pm and one above. I think your suggestion is a good idea. I think I will call my Dr. Thanks.

So, my advice is to go about your daily routine and forget that you have a pacemaker implanted in your body.
