heart zings

I just had a av ablation and pm implanted. The second day I began having electric zings in my heart in different positions, lying flat on the floor and sitting primarily. Also the pain in my shoulder seems more intense than most people describe. Has anyone else had these issues.

I had surgery on 10/23/13. I tried to going to some tough love for newbies and it wasn't a long read just said to consider the consequence of other surgeries. I have had open heart, neck fusion, breast cancer, and others. So I am no stranger to patience. I just need to know what is up with the zings. They feel like the pulse when you get electro stim therapy. They are like an electric pulse but not on the same rhythm as my heart beat. They sting a bit and are impossible to ignore. I am going in to the dr. office tommorrow to have the medtronic rep check out the unit. It is just frustrating when a dr. tells you that your symptom cant possibly be from the pacemaker. I didn't have it before. I have an extremely sensitive system and have allergic reactions that are unusual to most medication so I am used to going it without pain meds. Just trying to see if anyone else has had anything like this.

A reading assignment & Question...

..'morning & welcome aboard. This is your friendly Wal-Mart greeter saying "Hello" fort the first time.

But - instead of showing you the shopping carts, I want you to read something. Go to the SEARCH button, upper right corner of this page. Click on it. Enter "Some Tough Love for Newbies." OPEN up the thread that shows up - it's a long read. Read same to help give you some perspective.

Question - EXACTLY WHEN did you have the surgery?

Question - can you describe "Zings " a bit more specifically? That would help folks a lot better at giving you an answer.

The nurse ran test on it and assured me it was working fine but she did tell me they set the current higher for the first month while everything heals. They did a heart monitor to check if anything else was happening. Thanks it helped a lot to know I wasn't the only one. so I'm hoping this gets better.

It is just over 10 years since a dual lead device was implanted for complete heart block. It has worked perfectly and I have traveled well near two million miles internationally since then.
