icd implant interferance?

Hello All! I'm new to this site and want to thank you all in advance for the postings - they really helped me realize that a lot of what I've been going through has been normal.

I had a Boston Scientific ICD implant four weeks ago and I'm getting ready to go back to work. I'm a grounds man at a public school. This is the time of year when we use backpack leaf blowers and chainsaws. My ICD booklet says nothing closer than 12 inches. I was wondering if anyone knows if I'll be okay with the leaf blower on my back. The motor of the blower will be on my back - any thoughts?

Thanks in advance!!

So, my advice is to go about your daily routine and forget that you have a pacemaker implanted in your body.
