Intense pain starting suddenly is not normal, I am 6 months post pm & pain free. I assume that prior to this last week, you were relatively pain free? Your cardio is the best person to help you & the person you should see.
If it truly is "intense" I would probably go to AE / ER.

Any pain like that should be checked by your cardio or EP. Please don't leave it. It is not normal, and don't be scared to go back. That is what they are being paid for. If your new TV had a problem after 6 months I am sure you would get it fixed under the warranty! You are far more important. Phone them now and say you need to be seen asap.

Pacemakers are developed to help your heart work well, not to feel pain. If you have any sudden, intense pain, go to emergency room and ask them to see you. I hope that it is not an important problem. One of my philosophy in life is that one: "I can live with good news; I can manage the bad news, but I definitely cannot live in doubt." So, go to your doctor and clarify the situation.
I wish you all the best.

What everyone is saying is the best advice ,It may be nothing or it may be something easy to take care of but if you don't get checked it could turn into something .You should never be afraid to go to you Dr, Please go ASAP

Get It Checked Out
by Many Blessings - 2013-10-08 12:10:04
Hi JessieG,
A lot of us have been there. You feel something that hurts or isn't right. We wait for it to go away, and don't want to "bother" anyone with it, just in case it isn't anything to worry about.
I think you need to have it checked, just like the others have said. If it's nothing, great. If it's something, you can get it taken care of.
Good luck!

The pacer systems are really very reliable. The main problem is the incompetent programming of them. If yours is working well for you, get on with life and enjoy it. You probably are more at risk of problems with a valve job than the pacer.
