private messages

Has anyone else been having trouble with this? I sent a private message to someone and my email said I received one back, but when I go into my messages there is nothing there. also, some comments were deleted from one of the last postings that I commented on. And they were not in any way inappropriate.
Any site managers have an idea?

Members can delete their comments. Often when the comment count doesn't match how many comments are there, the poster did it.

There are been some glitches with the private messages. Not sure what's causing it, but you aren't the first to have problems. Make sure you are on inbox. Sometimes it'll switch to sent so things in the inbox are there but not on your screen.

To my knowledge nothing has been deleted recently except the odd duplicate post. Unless something is completely out of line, we discuss and get a consensus before taking any action. Are you sure the comments actually posted? Sometimes I think I posted a comment but either I took too long and got logged out or got the spam filter wrong so it didn't actually post. If you catch it when that happens, you can log in then hit the back button and your text should still be there to try again.

Hi, I just sent a couple "test messages" under private message. Probably did not get either. I have not been able to enter a "Subject" for months. I found after completing my message I could return to subject & enter it but would not show up after sending it.
Well, I can always blame it on my "old age" but it's weird as I have no trouble receiving SPAM.
