I have seen a few posts on here about diet mainly wanting to know about any safe diet pills. I by no means have done any research on natural herbal diet pills. But there are a lot of people on here that give advice on what to eat and exercise and not understanding that there are people who do that and still have trouble losing the weight. I Am one of those. Obesity runs in my family(however I am not obese but OVERWIEGHT). To those that are doing what you are supposed to be doing such as eating healthy and exercising and still just fluxuating or not losing at all. Do your research on all natural diet pills..if you find one...take it into your cardio...sit with him or her and go over it!! you hear a lot about garcinia cambogia..but like i said i havent done any research and im not a cardio. Good luck to all who have a weight issue!!

a different perspective. My wife and I have been trying to lose weight for a few years. We are overweight, myself borderline obese (or at least we were when we started). My problem was I was a grazer of all the wrong stuff. We tried the Jenny Craig program together and we both lost about 25 pounds over the course of a year. Then we gravitated back into our old ways and put the most of the weight back on over two or three years. Earlier this year we started meeting with a nutritionist. We have learned a lot and I was able to dump over 10 pounds before my implant. I have continued to lose and am now down 15 pounds from where I started. I would not recommend any of the pill type diet programs as most of those are flash in the pan plans. Get educated on what your body needs and live by that knowledge. My wife and I are at that point in our lives where the extra weight will soon be causing other health issues. We are planning to stay the course and get and stay healthy for the duration. Something we probably should have done many moons ago.

Surgery vs diet
by JerryG - 2013-11-10 04:11:33
I spent most of my life to date obese (BMI 42). I guess I tried about every diet ever invented but the problem is that you change your eating habit while on diet but as soon as you stop dieting, the weight comes back again as you go back to your old eating habits.
December last year at age 65 I took the plunge and had bariatric surgery (sleeve gastrectomy). I have lost 48kg since surgery and am now at the weight I want to be so am in the process of stopping the weight loss by adjusting my diet again, with the help of a dietician. So far, so good with neither further loss nor any gain.
I now have a pacemaker for SSS which would seem to be age related as my heart is otherwise 100%. Since the pacemaker implant, coupled with my weight loss I now feel 30 years younger.
I wish I had gone this route years ago.

You are not the bad person!! I agree with you, actually everyone that has posted i agree with. I always said that with my body...even if I looked at food my body would instantly gain weight :/ lol...i have had my PM now for a year and 7 months, still not feeling that hot. I work at a hospital working 12 hour shifts, when i'm home I do light exercise because i just feel beat up after work. Im still very fatigued and light headed and now been having small issues with SVT's,FRUSTRATING, but i have faith that we will get me tuned in to where i need to be. Prior to my PM the only thing that helped me lose weight was through a medical weight clinic, and I kept it off. That is until i started getting sick from my 3rd degree complete block, and gained it all back over a couple of years. See I had no idea i was walking around with a 3rd degree. Anyhow....I can soooo sympathize with the people on here that can not lose the weight. I forgot where I was going with this lol...well shoot...im sure i will remember later and post....good wishes to all
It's not easy

Losing weight is almost as hard if not harder than quitting smoking.
I started dieting in July and have lost 15 pounds but only by watching portion size. I am a fussy eater and while at cardio rehab I went to nutrition classes and know that I can't live like that. Hate vegetables and fish.
Like Angrysparrow, several years ago I lost alot of weight and it was actually not healthy. I was cold to the core and never felt good. Unfortunately the 37 pounds I lost quickly came back. Now I am taking it slow and looking to lose another 5-6 pounds. That would still put me in the overweight category when it comes to BMI but I have to do what is healthy and works for me which is eating what I like but less of it.
I would not recommend supplements but if you are going to and are currently on any medications, please please please check with your pharmacist first.

Hi! I am trying to lose weight too, to get as healthy as possible.(have pacemaker) I tried the garcinia cambogia (Dr OZ spoke of it, right?) but taking it as directed...and....NADA! So much for the losing 9 lbs without "trying"...and yes I do exercise. So...there is 2 cents worth. I just yesterday got a bottle of acacia powder as it is supposed to fill you up, and provide probiotics...will see with this and choking down 2 cups of green tea a day....good luck!!!
