Hi all, I was due to have my PM implanted this afternoon, but received a call yesterday telling me the op has been delayed by 3 weeks. So frustrated as I arranged my life around today and now have to re-arrange my work off duty ( I was looking forward to a few weeks off;). But most frustrating is the mental challenge. I was psyched up and ready to have the op and now I'm having to put it out of my mind ggggrrrrr.
On the up side, I'm still very greatful to our wonderful NHS for supplying me with the opportunity of treatment with no outlay to myself, and what's 3 weeks when I intend to go for at least another50 years ( I reckon mid 80's would be a fair target;anyway I feel much better for a good rant and am counting down the days ( again)
Good night all
Ian

I must say i was better prepared for the re run and all went so well never looked back iv got my life back and more and i also thank the NHS.
Wish you all the best you will be just fine am sure 3 weeks will soon pass :)

I am having a PM implant 29 October. When they gave me the date, the second sentence was " you may be bumped". So I am slowly psyching myself up for what ever, at least I will be organized.
I live in BC, Canada. It seems that there is always someone in more need.
My plan is if I get bumped is a big treat for myself, fancy dinner, one small glass of wine and a good shopping trip!
Good luck to you, be patient and keep busy ( then you won't worry so much).

As rants go it was pretty mild, nice no costs. Relax and keep counting. Good luck Jean
thanks

thanks all, appreciate your words of support, the rant was a little mind, but in my mind I was saying far worse. It turns out my cancellation was due to a clerical error ( I wasn't on the list lol) I'd have been much happier if it had been for an emergency case, but still at least I have a short interlude before I have to start making an effort to get super fit again:)
Anne, best of luck to you too , I hope all goes well
kindest regards

I totally understand the frustration! The good news is you got yourself mentally prepared. Hopefully you will do better than I did afterwards with coping. Hang in there for the next 3 weeks. And I wish you a good implant and recovery.
