I have been doing great since my last sugery which was on April 4.... I had an ablation, lead extraction, and pacemaker revision. The first few days were awful, but have been feeling great since. I had some minor hiccups, but nothing of great concern. However, yesterday I was eating dinner with a friend when I started to feel weird. Let me elaborate on weird.... I felt like I was having tachycardic episodes, with some skipped beats about every five beats. I had a hungover feeling, and something like heartburn, but it wasn't. I also felt like I had air pockets in my left side of chest, and my pulse felt extremely strong in my neck and then symptoms surpassed. These episodes were spuratically through the next day and as I lay here now typing this. I was very concerned earlier, called my EP and spoke to his nurse- whom did not seem overly concerned. My last blood pressure I took was 148/98 pulse 146, then rechecked pulse 2 minutes later it was 68. My settings are 70-120. I'm not having pain per say, but I feel not my norm... And it is not constant....Any thoughts?

I can understand your concern. My PM is set at 70. I have had two episodes of AFib, in the last three months, where my pulse went to 145 plus. When it gets that high, I head to the ER as I have been directed by my cardiologist and the ER doctor. It is frustrating to have to endure the attacks and fight the urge to stay home. I now take my blood pressure every couple of days to insure I am not have any problems due to reducing my BP medicine. Keep checking and don't let yourself get too weak to get help.
