Merlin at home

I finally received my cellphone transmitter in the mail today!!! I hooked everything up the darn thing took forever but did blink showing 3G connection. I was reading that it will do a nightly ready that is pre programmed by your cardiologist. My sleeping habits are terrible, and I was curious if anyone knew around what time at night they are usually set to do the automatic readings? Half the time I'm still farting around in the office or living room at midnight. I was at the cardiologist today and forgot to ask ... I go back nov 11. I've been having a few issues with tachycardia recently, and want to make sure I'm available for the automatic readings. Thanks in advanced

if its like my medtronic it has to be activated by a pacemaker problem or if equiped with defib if it goes off. Also can be activated to read by your cardio doctor or transmitted by you. I could be wrong with your device easiest way to be sure is to ask your cardio doctor about it when it reads, does it automatically take readings everyday?
good luck and good health.

Merlin

I have a Merlin transmitter and I was given specific dates about every 3 months when it will do the checkup. I can at any time activate it to read and send if I think I am having a problem. Merlin takes the place of having to see the pacemaker person at the doc office every 3 months. I then get a bill from the doctor for the reading,

Thanks

I'll have to give them a call then. It's no biggie I just know they are doing nightly readings. I'll give them a call this week and keep everyone up to date:) thanks again. On another note- I'm starting to feel much better. Walking the dog, and doing short workouts!! Woot woot!!!!

I have a Biotronik with home monitoring and it takes an automatic reading at 2:00 pm every night.
Mine uses the regular hard wired phone line not a cell phone. They even do the device check at night so I don't need to go to the doctor for that or hook up to the phone for a check.

it's even good for travel. I take the device with me and if I don't have a phone to hook up to, it will store the information until I get home and hook it back up.

Nice and easy.

I have Lattitude: reads every AM at 3:00. Just call the office and ask the EP tech to look it up and call U back at his/her convenience Get some sleep...lol. Bev

You know you're wired when...
