Merlin at home

Hello everyone!! I'm full of questions lately- guess that's a sign I need to go back to work lol:) I received my merlin at home transmitter last week and have been slacking hooking it up. Finally attempted today with no success. I do NOT have a landline phone. My wireless router is on my second story, pretty far away from my bedroom which is on the main floor of the house. My dr wants me to sleep with this little guy within 10 feet of me every night. I attempted to hook it upstairs just for a trail run, but I don't believe it would read anything but my pacer.... Never received conformation for anything else, I guess my question is there a different wireless transmitter that does not require a landline? Or an adapter....something. I do plan on calling my cardiologist in the morning as we'll....we shall see . Thanks for listening to my rambling :)

I called Medtronic today, and I am going to get a separate cellular for $10.99. It is not attached to your cell phone in any way. The Tech at Medtronic said that many of their patients don't have land lines. Medtronic's number is 1-763-514-4000. I am sure if Medtronic's has a cellular system, St Jude's or other companies would have a cellular system as well.

My EP states there is an adapter for my machine at home. They're said it is $16.00 a month. It's worth it to me to ease my stress attempting to work something else out. I'm just waiting patiently for my EP to send me the information on obtaining this little gadget. Thank you for your responses!!!

You know you're wired when...

You have a dymo-powered bike.
