Your problems are not uncommon

I had a Medtronic PM a little over 2 years ago and had similar symptoms to yours afterwards. Not so much pain, but dizziness, shortness of breath and fatigue. With the help of some wonderful people in this club I was given advice that my PM settings needed to be adjusted. My doctor was reluctant to help and I had to be persistent. In the end I changed cardiologists and my PM has been adjusted several times. Things are much better now but not perfect. Its a work in progress.
My advice is go to your doc and explain the symptoms. He/she should be able to help and don't give up until you get some relief. I found it helpful to know that others had similar symptoms as mine. You are not alone with this and I am confident that things will get better if you don't let your doc brush you off. Hang in there!
still have this problem

I talked to my doctor and he says it's not my pm and to talk to my pcp. He changed my meds and told me to rest. I don't know what else to do.

sob with pain
by Alma Annie - 2013-09-01 08:09:15
I had medtronic pm in June 2011 after an ablation. Yes pain and sob lots. I was put on metoprolol which helped a little. Then in March 2012 I had another ablation which really helped the pain and sob and I only have it sometimes now. However I also have a condition called coronary artey spasm which doc thinks is the cause of pain. I also have many pvc's which although harmless can apparently cause sob. So my advice is to go back to cardiologist and have a check up for everything as your problem might have nothing to do with pm. From what I can understand, the settings might need to be adjusted on pm. Everything is 'not fine' if you are suffering and you need to stress this to your doctor.
Let us know how you go.
