shocks

Hi everyone, just got my pace maker 3 wks. ago and the Dr. lower my heart rate on it and today I felt a couple of shocks or that's what it felt like and had some pain for a couple of mins.
Has anyone else had this? What would cause it to do that?

If I were you I would call your EP doc immediatly and discuss these things you are feeling.

I think you need to talk to your doctor on this too. I had some of those same feelings when I first had mine put in. My shocks & pain were in my heart itself. When I asked my EP doc, he said it was from the procedure (AV Node ablation) and other surgery they did on the heart itself, not the PM. I also had some very weird uncomfortable issues from the pain/sleep meds they gave me (Percocet).

I'm not sure if this helps or not, but it might give you some ideas to ask about when you call your doctor.
