Hi Everyone,
I had a pacemaker implanted a little over two months ago and have just moved from NYC to California (not really planned, I would have waited to get the PM after moving if I'd known!)
Anyway, I now need to find a new dr here and I'm not sure where to start so I thought I would see if anyone had any recommendations?
I am considering UCSF (they have an electrophisiology and arrhythmia service department) and also Stanford Medical Center (they also have a cardiac arrhythmia service as well as the adult congenital heart program).
If anyone has any experience with any of these clinics or drs at these clinics, please PM me!
Many Thanks!

Thank you hurtheart and ksig for the comments! I'm glad to know that both UCSF and Stanford have good reputations when it comes to EP's and pacemaker care. (I've lived in the USA for less than 2 years so I'm still learning what's good and what's not here!!) And I never thought to call the pacemaker manufacturer for a list of EP's - that's a great idea and I will do that tomorrow :)
Thanks again.
Lucy.

But I think it will make me feel a lot better. My stamina to walk is already better, even right after surgery. They had me walk all around the floor before they would release me. I did so without being exhausted and winded the way I had been.
UCSF

I am a patient at UCSF and have been so for the past 9 years and I, too, have a pacer. I find the doctors and staff at UCSF to be highly professional and personable and therefore, recommend them. I have personally been treated by Dr. Jeff Olgin and Dr. Greg Marcus. Both are EPs.
A friend of mine was treated at Stanford for AFib by Dr. Wong, who is also an EP.
Both clinics are world renowned and deliver fabulous care. So whatever decision you come to, you will be well served.
