Just had a Medtronic pacemaker implanted on 8-5-13. Just received from Medtronic a home monitoring device. Will Medicare and AARP/UnitedHealthcare pay for the monitoring device and monitoring?

Hello M Donald,
I have a Medtronic PM with a home monitoring device and I seldom pay anything other than monthly insurance premiums.
Medicare is my primary insurance (has been since 1994) and I have a supplemental policy. I never pay anything but the insurance premiums for all of mine and my wife's health care. That is all except medications and while we have Medicare's Plan D, I never know what or how much it will pay for a prescription.
We have found about all we can do is wait and see, unfortunately. We have tried to see what our costs will be and while we can get answers they are very seldom correct.
