My appetite is not so good. Is this part of the immediate post-implant process; or something that stays with you?

Give it time

I had my PM fitted 2 weeks ago today, following a collapse at the gym. I was fine before and have been eating well since, though I was fortunate to be pretty fit and have a very positive attitude. I can imagine that if you are anxious and/or were not well pre-implant then it will affect your appetite, so I would give it time. John

I have been the exact opposite! After the initial implant and during med load stay in hospital .. I wasn't very hungry. NOW during my "down time" at home, I seem to eat everything in the house. I am used to being very active, in and out all day, and an immaculate house...welllllllll that is NOT the case now. LOL Since I am still limited to what I can and can't do for another week or so, I have replaced cleaning and mowing with EATING! I pray I can get these extra pounds back off as soon as I can get back to "normal"

Did you ever say what medications you are on? I did see your post yesterday on being nauseous, when I first got started on this journey , I was on four different meds. two of them I don't take anymore. at the time they were important because I had fluid in my lungs. Because of the heart failure. my doctor put me on diuretics. I was not taking the diuretics when I had my crt-d implanted.

A piece of good high quality steak (prime grade with good marbling), grill on open fire by charcoal (medium rare to medium). Make your own steak sauce with chopped shallots, butter, some diced mushrooms, some cream, red wine and Worcestershire sauce, salt and pepper, or any good steak sauce if you don't want to make it. Serve it with scalloped potatoes or simply grill some asparagus.
Try that. It will bring some appetite back for you.
:-)
Hang in there Gil. Have a nice day.
