A big NO NO.. I learned the hard way that alcohol and heart disease dont go together.. I had my first drink when i was 14.. It was a beer.. and even though knowing my condition i got into it.. On my 16th birthday i got drunk for the first time.. by age 18 i was an " experienced" drinker.. gobbling down on a bottle of brandy.. piece of cake.. but now when im 19.. i have been alchol free for 2 months after something suddenly told me in my head STOP !.. so i did.. I feel much more refreshed and i have a lot more energy..my heart used to skip beats and i had a few shocks which i am now sure 100% were results of too much booze !!! So dont try to be a hot shot by getting drunk.. It is not worth it.. even if you are healthy avoid alchol.. a casual drink or two cant hurt..but when that comes to a bottle or two of wine.. you have to take a stop.. This goes to all you young folks on this site i dont know how many of you are out there but belive me..Its not worth the risk.. and mark my words.. I find it quite more pleasing going out now without drinking.. Beacuse know i know what ive been missing out now.. Meeting new girls..flirting with them or just making new friends.. Stay safe ! :))

Good for you!! A hard habit to stop, you should be very proud of yourself for learning so quickly, hope you take the time to share what you've learned. Not only a lesson for PM people, but a whole lot of other young people. Keep up the good work. Jean
Cool !

... for identifying what was the trigger for your heart irregularities .Many people go through many many bottles before it dawns on them what the cause is.
Best of luck in the future....in fact I'll drink to that ! ( oops, wrong thing to say ! )
Cheers

thx for all your replies.. all the things youve said are right...for an example one of my friends has diabetes..an he is a very heavy drinker id say. currently he is taking time off of it..but i try to tell him to stop beacuse nothing good will come out of that.. all young people should avoid alcohol and drugs... beacuse there is nothing good in either one of them...
Congrats

Congratulations! So good of you too make that decision! Drinking isn't all it's cracked up to be anyway! I'm 18 and don't drink massively anyway, but now I know I'll definitely keep it that way! X
Three cheers for Fiki

Sounds like you made a very sound decision.
I read your little bio, I see you are majoring in economics, that sounds much better than booze.
Keep us the good work.

As for my pacemaker (almost 7 years old) I like to think of it in the terms of the old Timex commercial - takes a licking and keeps on ticking.
good for you!

Good for you coming to such a smart decision before anything serious went wrong.
