I am having an ICD placed on Tues. I'm nervous. How can I expect to feel afterwards? I have Prinzmetal's Angina and have had 4 heart attacks. I'm always tired, sob, and feel some type of chest issue almost everyday. My heart rate is often in the low 40's. thanks.

I had my first on placed in 2009. I felt alot better right away. Recovery from procedure was not bad either.

After I got my ICD in I had my arm in a sling for about a week to make sure I didn't pull any wires loose. I did feel better though.

Being nervous is natural. you are to going so much better! I had mine put in may. felt pretty sore for a couple a weeks.
and really good after four weeks. before the procedure I could not get through the day without a nap. good luck!!!
