Hi
I had a PM fitted this week so have much information , however there is some conflict of opinion with regards to activities.
Can you tell me of snow skiing should be avoided(seriously hope not ) or OK to continue?
I'm a beginner who stays on blue runs and perhaps if pushed short reds. I fall often, these falls are becoming controlled and are no longer "helicopter" crashes. Hope to hear some positive replays. Steve

Hey Steve,
I know I am late to reply, but I had to mention my LOVE my snow skiing. After my recovery I was told that my racing career, (high school) may not be the best idea as a fall could damage the devise and may put too much stress on my heart. I was told I could ski recreation and still help coach. My surgery was coming up on 5 years. Each season after placement got easier and easier to get use to.
Snow Bunnies for Life!!! Try not to have any more yard sales or helicopter crashes. Down is easy, getting up is the pain!!!

A hard fall can seperate your node connections or damage your pm otherwise it's ok. Your choice.

Steve, I have never had anyone speak of not be able to snow ski after getting an ok from their dr. Just be sure you are healed up and then have some fun! I water ski and swim a lot, but not a snow skier. I prefer the warmer climates in Winter. :-)
Oh by the way, Blake the founder of this site... Is a great snow skier! Look for his vacation pics.
You can do a search for sking if you click on the upper right hand corner of the top red and grey banner.
Good luck and be sure to send some photos!
