Moving right along!

It was about 4 weeks ago that I got my ICD exchanged for a CRT-D and there was so much difference that my body finally adjusted to the larger size. (There was no trade in value) The Dr had to put new wires for two of the three leads, so I still have 2 weeks of not lifting over 10# or raising my hand above my head.I was told by a nurse that I was going to ab an invalid for 6 weeks and remember that! That is really rough to do since all is better and not hurting or aching.Last week I yanked the shower curtain across and thought for sure I pulled a wire! I hurt for about 3 hours but haven't been called by the Dr saying I did. Feeling great!!! I was so SOB before. Good to be able to walk again and not be SOB.

You know you're wired when...

You have a maintenance schedule just like your car.

My eight year old son had a pacemaker since he was 6 months old. He does very well, plays soccer, baseball, and rides his bike. I am so glad he is not ashamed of his pacemaker. He will proudly show his "battery" to anyone.
