I have been posting a few answers to peoples questions on the forum and have received a number of technical questions into my direct mail.
Whilst I am happy to shed some light on your queries I am unable to log into the pacemaker club regularly to check my mail.
If any one has any questions they would like me to try and answer then please contact me using my website. I have a BSc in Clinical Physiology and am currently employed as a full time Pacemaker Technician.
Happy to Help

I've enjoyed your insights too by the way, any questions that I get from here I will post on this site and infact I plan to post other website info on here that might be of use! I'm definitely not trying to superseed this website instead supplement it!
Kindest Regards

........................I am with Inga re PM Club being credited...the fund of knowledge, both from the 'Questionning' point of view and the 'Response' side would be the envy of any research student looking for solid body of evidence, albeit, 'not attribuital ', for a Doctorate / PHD / Careere advance....
That said,..its really good to have a Tecchie on board..and I personally thank you for getting involved with PMC.....
But...
Your profile gives us no information regarding your own PERSONAL situation ,..as in having a device.....
We are only,.... a little gang of some 20.000 people who cuddle-up and share stuff....Feelings / Info / Experiences / Knowledge.
Let us know a little more about you...not your inside leg measurement ( ! )......just 'stuff'..

Hi there,
Nice to meet you, and yes sorry I haven't really given you any details.
I am a pacemaker technician (Senior Cardiac Physiologist) employed full time in the UK and I also work in the private sector when I get the time.
I personally do that have a pacemaker which is why I can never play any part in this site from a anecdotal point of view when it comes to having one.
I commend this site as a support and knowledge sharing forum.
One thing I know is that we never really have enough time with our patients to explain how their pacemakers work and also people forget to ask the questions bothering them when they are in clinic! I am hoping to explain concepts so they are understandable, the jargon in my industry is another language!
This is supported by some of the misconceptions or questions on the forum...
I'm willing to try and clear some things up where and when I can :)
Thanks Again
Cardiac Technician
Thank you for what you do !

Hi again!
I checked your site again, but you still don't give credit to the pacemakerclub. I'm a scientist and I believe in scientific working methods, so if you take something from one website and put it on your own, you gotta quote!
And it's not that what you explain there, hasn't been explained here numerous times. Regarding rate response, for instance, we have threads here every other day.
While I do understand what you'd like to do, and that you want to supplement this forum, I also see a very direct link to everything that's being done here (all the questions and answers).
So, give us some credit!
Inga

Hi Inga, sorry havent had time to do this.
This site is now credited for two of my blog posts which are the only two that I have been inspired to write off of my answers on here. I have also posted a link to this website on my website now too.
Regards C.T.

Awww, thanks so much, Casper!
I'm trying to do my very best. I guess my advantage is that I have actually often been there, done that. I know many pacemaker settings and parameters from a patient's perspective, from the troubles that they can cause. It feels good to be able to help - that's the one good thing about my very long and complex arrhythmia story.
But you know what: There is, like TM pointed out, LOADS of knowledge and expertise here in this forum. Even without technicians or cardios present, we have already answered hundreds or even thousands of questions; maybe not always 100% correctly, but still our answers often help.
This is a great site! :)

Mentioning our club

Hi!
Interesting site. You explain the algorithms very well, I look forward to getting more insights into some more algorithms.
However, if you publish questions being asked here and your answers to them on your own site, wouldn't it be nice to mention at some time that you got them from pacemakerclub.com? Are you planning to take more or even all the FAQs published on your site from our forum? I'm not really against it, but I think it should be mentioned somewhere.
Best
Inga
