Always useful. If you had an accident or collapsed in the street, and paramedics called, they always look for medical jewellery first. There are many styles out there, from basic up. Mine has a 24/7 call number, which tells of all medical problems, not just pm.
This was useful for me when I tripped up a step and flung myself into a wall concussing myself!

Depends on you

If you do a search on this site you'll find other discussions on the subject which may help you decide: many of us don't wear one, others do. I have one, wore it for a month and then gave up and never wore it again.

Try this one.....the company is called RoadID. It's a comfortable rubber like bracelet and you can have your medical info and contact names embossed. I never take mine off.

Bracelet

As a nurse, I've heard various opinions. Some people have nearly yelled at me for not wearing a medic alert bracelet, and some paramedics have told me, they don't look at it anyway. I don't wear one currently because I got tired of nosy people asking me why I have it. haha!

Honestly it is better safe than sorry. It can let the medical staff that would be helping you in crisis be aware that there is specific care you need, that a typical person off the street wouldn't need - it can help in diagnosis a problem if you were to run into one and couldn't share your history.

What it comes down to is personal decision! You decide if it is important to you.

All the info is behind your drivers License. That is the first place they look!
