Two days ago i had a pacemaker fitted, and i was advised not to raise my leftt arm above my shoulder. Oops i forgot and the next day my wife found me with my left arm above my shoulder whilst sitting watching the tele. This is something i have done since i was VERY young. could this lapse of concentration have any detrimental effect on the wires ETC

Not an expert but the literature says the left arm should not be raised to let the scar tissue form around the leads. I cant see the right arm having the same issues. Wish you a good recovery!

I'm sure the occasional lifting wont have harmed it but for the leads to bed in and scar tissue to grow its best to keep the movements to whats advised. But don't immobilise it or it can freeze up.
You know you're wired when...
You run like the bionic man.

I am just now 40 but have had these blackouts all my life. I am thrilled with the pacer and would do it all over again.

Yep, its important to use the left arm within the limitations . Its amazing how quick it can become stiff and its possible to end up with a frozen shoulder. Have a definite regime of exercise.
