Hi two weeks ago my son who is 3 and a half years old had his open heart surgery and he ended up with sinus node dysfunction and has now got a pacemaker. I am not sure what to ask? Definitely wasn't expecting this. My first thing is should I get something for him to wear saying he has a pacemaker as they give us cards but I carry those and if i am not around they are no good. What else is good to know? I know he has to keep phones iPads Etc 6 inches away and not to play direct contact sport and that's about it. Any advice would be great at his age he doesn't really know its in there.

Hi - just sending you and your son good thoughts. I'm new to having a PM too and my husband has asked that I wear a medical ID bracelet. When I looked on line for one, I saw they made them for children too. You could put your phone number on it and indicate that he has a pacemaker. So sorry to hear that he's had to go through so much.

Hi. No advice as I haven't had a child go through this but just wanted to offer support. It can't be easy as a parent to have such a young child go through this but what a great mom to start thinking of practical ways to protect your child. I hope all goes well for you and your little one.
