Hard to navigate

Hi All,
Just wanting to say, I find this forum very hard to navigate. I am on several forums for health issues and this one tops the list for difficulty on finding info. The search function helps somewhat, but I find the site lacks personality.

This site is very important to many of us here and I would like to see it improved!

l am hopeless with computers & can still only cope with the one finger technique BUT l find this site really easy to "Navigate"
What exactly are you trying to find? because if you can't find it there are many people here who will help you out.
As for the site lacking personality......................in what way do you think it could improve?
l have been visiting here since 2011 & if you asked me in what way the site could be improved my answer would be "Leave it alone its brilliant as it is"

I felt you did not give enough information on exactly what your having difficulty navigating on this site. if you were to post a question about your pacemaker, or a health concern you may be worried about. someone will always answer to help out. Lack of personality on this site?!!
I can't for the life me understand that comment.
There so many wonderful people on this site that take time out of their busy Schedules to tell their stories to help with any concerns and worries we may be having.
lack of personality. please! Do you not read some of the light Hearted bantering that goes on here? sometimes, I laugh so hard I almost... Well nevermind that. Wayne, just give a detailed description of any concerns you are having and you will get the help you need.

I just found this site a week or so ago. Had my defib/pacemaker implanted on July 3rd after having a massive heart attack and then ventricular tachycardia.

This site has made me feel so much better about my situation. While I may not post as much as others, I read everything and I have found the answers to so many questions. I have realized (and only because of this site) that I am not alone and that the things I am experiencing are normal and shared by many.

I'm not sure what you find difficult about the site. I am not computer savy and have not experienced any problems.

Good luck in finding what works best for you.

I agree with all the above comments. If the whole is the sum of its parts, then this site ranks as personality plus. The humour,, compassion, lack of whining, intelligent phrasing of concerns, the words used to express ideas and thoughts outside the realm of the PM but in the center of living are unparalleled in any other forum type site I have visited. My first two sites to visit on a daily basis are my Hotmail and this one.
As someone said, if you have a specific question, ask. I guarantee someone will be able to help you. Even post a message just to you. It's fantastic.

I've found this site very easy to use. Much better that other sites. Also I've gotten a lot of support and good info from the people on this site.

Sorry but I don't understand your comments. Give some examples of where you are having difficulty, and where other sites are better and then people can respond and hopefully help.

Your comment about lack of personality is also totally meaningless to me.

I'm not sure what you mean by lacks personality. I've been a regular for 5 years now and have always found a lot of information and support as well as entertainment. More than a few friendships have evolved with people I met through here, too.

Posts are separated by topic with the most recent first, and last I checked the search function worked just fine. What are you looking for that you can't find?

If this site , as you say, lacks personality, and is such a difficult place to navigate...pray tell, just what are you doing here ? If your "other cites" have more personality, and are so easy to navigate, then by all means man...get thyself to another place and stop wasting our time... If you seek information, this is the best place I've found...and as far as personality goes, none can compete with the Pacemaker Club.. If you have positive suggestions, anyone here will digest the information and evaluate your point of view. If you have any questions at all, I'm sure you will have many members jump in and help you thru your information search, give you comfort if you are afraid, tell you their stories and express their fears as well...and I might add, with more personality than you could not possibly imagine...

The easy way to search

I'm baaaaaaack! Let me give you a new "Easy" assignment - find the threads on magnetic clutches for necklaces to answer the post a ways up the page.

I gave up after finding nothing but a list of threads on "Magnets," & went to Google. Works like a charm - every time, none of the sorting through a list long as your arm. Searched on "Magnetic Clutches,necklaces, Pacemaker Club." Found what I was looking for in first try.

We have been excoriating this poor fish for 13 comments, now - there is some merit to his OP when you say difficult to navigate - but definitely NOT the personality issue..
