Hello everyone!
I was surfing this nice page, when I suddenly saw in the "Gallery Image" someone nicknamed "brokenheart". I don't know her, never talked to her, but why "brokenheart"?
Well, I think that we should all campaign for nicknames and usernames as "HAPPYHEARTS", "STRONGHEART", "BRAVEHEARTS", :-) this site does not have place for broken things LOL :-)
Please girl, put a big smile on your face and let's all enjoy life.

I'm just Cheryl B., but my device is called "Thumper." I just love that name. And I am the very grateful owner of an ICD.

I apologize for this post

Hello everyone,
Only now I could read the replies to my post.
First of all, I would like to apologize to all members if I chose the wrong and topic. I wanted to cheer people up a bit, but I think I used the wrong way. I am so sorry for that and I promise never to repeat that again.
A nice member sent me a private message, kindly explaining that I was wrong. People choose names according to what they think fit their stories.
As to my case, I'm also on the same boat on this vast sea of our existences. I have a heart problem called restrictive miocardiopathy. My muscle heart is hardening as time goes by. I'm not young and with lots of difficulties including many medical procedures, including now heart failure. 98% of the time paced, according to last checkup.
I perfectly know that life is hard for many people as I also know that many people are surrounded with excessive care just because they have a broken finger. I also had my finger broken twice, but that is a minor problem compared to my heart. And a minor problem was not that member's story.
So, please, brokenheart, if you happen to read this post, forgive me if I used the wrong way to express my feelings. I wish each of you the best health possible. I just wanted to say that we should not miss the good side of life.
I also take this opportunity to say that my screen name is almost my real name. My real name is Lucio Castro and LuCas are just the beginning of those two names. Just that. Castro is from Spanish origin and Lucio is the Portuguese version to the Roman name Lucius, as my father gave me this name in homage to Lucius of Cyrene.

...........your name , almost certainly means...'Of Light'
Your reply, here will, ..in my view,..only be met with approval...The passion of your opening comment was a n honest demonstration of how you feel,..and I for one , can only respect that.
PM Club is a kind of compressed World of,.. with a common belief that the sharing of personal truths may lead to the improvement of the lives of individuals.
Stay with PM Club...in my view, those with your kind of sensibilities can only enrichen the support and knowledge that PMC can offer to the 'Family' that this Forum has created.
Lucio.....please bring your own 'Light' to this great group...

Hi LuCas,
No need for apologies, I've read your posts from time to time. It's clear to me that you meant no harm.
I've never heard your name translated as "guy with head up" in English, just a little side note.
Like Tattoo Man said, please bring your positive energy to this great group of people.
Special note to Tattoo Man, the mystery is solved, I wasn't sure if you sported any tattoos.

I've read other postings and comments from you before too. I can tell you have a GOODHEART and meant this post in a positive way.
Don't let this misunderstanding discourage you from staying with the PMC Club. Unfortunately, there will always be some miscommunication between people.
The strength is in trying again and getting past the misunderstanding, which you have done.
Grateful Heart
I'm not giving up :-)

Hello,
Well, I thank you all for your understanding that I meant good, not harm.
The member who sent me a private message just explained that "brokenheart" is a member that has gone through many difficulties with her heart, maybe much more than we can imagine.
Of course that that was a misunderstanding. The thing I promised not to repeat is not to refer to people whose life experience I don't know about.
I've joined this Club because I know that you are all heroes and I know that we can support one another and help carry a bit of the burden that many people feel too heavy for them to put on their shoulders.
Not only psychologically but actually physically. How many times our alerts and exchange of information have helped others to understand their problems better and seek for the right kind of help when the situation was urgent?
We may occasionally disagree on certain topics, but one thing will not change, we will still have pacemakers :-)
And let's hope that they help our hearts beat for a long time.

......................welcome aboard the Good Ship PM Club !!
Here you will meet so many interesting people...all with their own stories and views on every topic under the sun.
Every Member is unique...and together, as I see it..., form also,... a unique kind of virtual neighbourhood / community.
Now, since I have been a Member of PM Club, I can recall very few instances of Members actually meeting up, face to face...
Yet.........
I have seen genuine care,..support,..and , dare I say ,..Love, demonstrated on these ethereal pages.
On one level we actually do not exist...and on another we are as real as our own front door and pet cat...this is,...for me,..the magic of PMC...
Our 'Names / Avatars'...are , I suspect, sometimes, handy masks to further preserve our own, already garaunteed anonymity.....so interesting......??
LuCas...I will not comment on another Members reason for their name...but will, for those who are interested, explain my own.....
I am ' Tattoo Man'.....and ,..be prepared for a surprise here,....I have absolutely NO TATTOOS....
As a club runner I wear tattoo print 'skin arm warmers' when its chilly at the start of a race...many of my running pals know me as 'TM'...as do some here on PMC...
SO.....
Just who are we really...??
Answer...Real People who just happen to care for eachother on matters that , to the outside world, put us in an odd box of people who have something wrong with them..
Someone once asked the question ..." Whats in a name" ??....
Here, on PMC...I see that the answer is both everything and nothing....LuCas,..again , welcome to this Forum...a Forum that wecomes those that challenge,..question,..and contribute....the world is there to hear you.
Wow !!
Tattoo Man...Hey , you can call me TM ..
