Hello everyone!
I'm new to this PM world. I had mine implanted on June 21st this year and I'm still learning a lot and trying to cope with it. I have an important congenital heart condition called "restrictive miocardiopathy" and this disease lead to electrical problems in my heart.
This is the bad part of my life. I'm from Brazil, 42yrs old, with very good sense of humour and I think that a PM is a second chance for me, just like a parachute when I practiced paragliding.
I've found this support group and I hope that I can contribute with the lessons that life taught me along these years with heart problems. I haven't found a site like that in Portuguese language for people in Brazil or Portugal. But anyway, as human beings, our problems are the same and I'm quite sure that we have great lessons to exchange from each other.
With the blessing of our Lord, let's celebrate life.
I wish all the people in this site can live long and fruitful lives, because, in the end, it is not the time that counts but the quality of our time here.
Thanks in advance for all the advice and congratulation for the person who created this site.

to the club... you seem to have such a wonderful, positive outlook on life in general...and yes I agree that we all can share & learn from each other as fellow human beings. You will find many like minded fellow human beings here... very caring and willing to share information and stories... compassionate people who each and every day deal with different heart "conditions"
we all share things in common, and we all learn from our shared experiences. just wanted to say welcome...

Welcome to the club none of us wanted to join. I got my pm June 27 and it has been a blessing. More energy, easier breathing, and feeling better overall. I hope yours helps you feel better and improves your life. I like paragliding too! I hope your new pm will let you live life the way you want to and enjoy your favorite activities, like paragliding.
