Finished the 1/2 marathon with no pacer or rhythm problems! And I was still vertical thanks to two angel runners who got me across the finish line. Tore a ligament halfway through but peg legged it most of the way, toward the end two strong runners held me up thru the finish line where medics grabbed me and carried me to the med tent, then the hospital. Now sporting a lovely knee immobilizer and crutches. No running for awhile:(.

Way to push through the pain!
At the same time, Oh No! Coming back from injury is so frustrating.
Good luck and may you heal quickly!

...............see people that do this kind of stuff in any way unusual..picture this..
A lass I know ,..international level Ironman Triathlete came through the end of 'bike' section 100-odd miles,..collapsed in the food tent..
Some minutes after she was on a saline drip..looked at her watch, and said..Thanks Guys....if I get a wriggle on I can still hit my target time....
With the drip out, she ran the last, Marathon section and finished within target time...

My favorite saying is if you see me laying on the ground please drag my body over the finish line :) You finished!!! Now time to heal while you plan your next run.

You finished the race, didn't have a pacer problem, I believe you said you forgot it. I'd say you are a winner!! Hold up till you heal and start again. There are places to run all over this country of ours. You go girl!! Jean
