Nervous

Trading snow and 28 degrees for sun and upper 70's and the Arizona Rock and Roll 1/2 this weekend. After getting hauled off to medical during my last attempt at a half I'm a little anxious. Please keep your fingers crossed that I can stay vertical during this one! I've only had the pm a few months and am not as confident as I will be once I've grown more used to it.

Remember.....hydration, hydration, hydration.

And did I say hydration.

My friend is running it too! Another Don, but not the DonR, we know here!

Have fun.

Start slow ; then you are more likely to sprint to the finish !

I am envious !!!!!

Best of luck

Ian

Good luck!

Take it slow since you've been training in cooler weather.

And stick with the hydration as others have suggested.

I just did the Walt Disney World half last weekend and the swing in temperature from 20s to 70s with high humidity nearly had me carted off by medics too, so, again, take it slow if you need to, since the training conditions have been so different from the race conditions.

And have fun!

Jenny

Thanks everyone

KAG I LOVE your boring weather. 12 degrees and snow at home. 77 and sunny here. Ian I start slow and finish slower. Not fast but I have a good time with it! Moner hope your friend has fun. Jean thanks for the good thoughts. Tatto man I'm sorry it's dark and chilly, wish I could send a little of this sun your way! Jenny way to go, congrats!

You picked

a beautiful weekend to come visit us in AZ. It's been so boring weather wise: 70's and sunny, 70's and sunny..... Most natives are looking forward to rainy. :-)

As said above drink your water and then drink some more and enjoy.

You know you're wired when...

You have an excuse for being a couch potato.

I finished 29th in London in 2 hours 20 minutes 30 seconds which is my fastest with or without a device so clearly it didn’t slow me down ! I had no problems apart from some slight chaffing on my scar - more Vaseline next time.
