13.1!!!

Finished my first half marathon after getting my pm June 27! Life with a pm does not mean the end of life as you know it! And I was not demoralized at all by how long it took me to finish, just happy I finished upright and still smiling!

..I hope that's NOT the hours it took you to run it. Pretty darned good if it's the minutes it took you - but you'd still never beat the Roadrunner! Meep! Meep!

Good job - did Rocky run w/ you?

Don

Great achievement !

...... even though you will feel stiff tomorrow ! It is inspirational for all PM - implant runners.

26.2 next ?

Well done

Ian

Ian have mercy, I'm an old lady! Pretty stiff already, my knees don't like me very much right now. It was a steep hilly course. Uphill both ways :)

Yes he did. Several times I thought about how what he did was so, so much more difficult than what I was doing. His amazing courage was an inspiration to me. Thanks for sharing his story. Mile 12-13 was surely 5 or 6 or maybe 8 miles long, I'm sure the had the mileage signs wrong :)
Thought of him especially during that grueling section. And during a steep hill where I was doing ok but stopped beside a wheelchair racer who was stuck and kept telling him you've got this, you can do it, and stayed beside him encouraging him until could move and he made it to the top. I lost a few minutes, but it wasn't like I was a lead runner so who cares. Was more excited when he made it past that awful stretch than when I crossed the finish line.

Nice Boston

.............you must feel SO good about yourself, and, no doubt all those around you who have supported you.

A couple of days off the old back legs and you'll be good to go again.

Great news and an inspiration to us all

Thanks

I didn't have anyone take pics of me Tracey but I will try to upload a photo of the medal when I get home, they are awesome this year. In the professional race photos I usually look like a deranged, exhausted, sweaty old woman. They would frighten small children. And some adults. Love the shirts this year, they said Bostonstrong on one inset and had a lobster on the other side. Perfect. Waiting at the Portland airport for my flight home, should be home by 2 am and in the office seeing patients by 8 am.

CONGRATS!
