Woke up with pounding face pain and swollen eyes. I have a sinus infection and have never been so happy to have one. The low grade fever was from that. So thankful to have a reason beside a pocket infection for fever. I was scheduled for sinus surgery last spring for frequent acute and chronic sinus infections but cancelled because I didn't want to take time off work.

Acupuncture

I am going to try the chiropractor if that worked for you. My collaborative physician does acupuncture. He was in the office for his bimonthly chart review last summer when I was having some disk issues aggravated by running. He jammed the tip of a plastic pen into my ear fairly hard and after 30 seconds that tight line of pain from my waist to my heel dissolved. Amazing.
hope it works!

I hope it works for you! I was really skeptical going in but now I'm a believer. It fixed my migraines, too. I still go once a month, adjustments don't last forever.

It feels weird to congratulate you on a sinus infection but what relief! Keep an eye on the soreness, tho.
It doesn't work for everyone and there are a lot of bad to mediocre ones out there for every good one, but a chiropractor took me from years of chronic sinus infection and bad allergies to no problems whatsoever. I even got my sense of smell back, haven't taken an antihistimine or antibiotic in 10 years now. It might be worth a try, worst that can happen is it doesn't work. I've heard similar stories about acupuncture but I'm too much of a wimp to check it out!
