My mom recently had a pacemaker, around 3 months ago I'd say. Around 4 weeks in she started to get pain/pins and needles feeling and bad discomfort and it hasn't stopped since. She had an xray which showed that the leads were displaced, however, when she went in to have the leads sorted out, they did a second xray which showed that the leads were fine. The doctor said that the original xray could have been taken at a wrong angle? I personally think she needs another xray to make sure everything is ok, but does anyone have any advice on this and the pain she is feeling? i hate seeing her so miserable when this pacemaker should be improving her life

When you have TWO tests that give you different answers, there is probably something WRONG w/ one of the tests. They tell you NOTHING!
1) Have them looked at side by side by a third party.
2) If third party says they don't agree, have a third X-Ray taken.
Go from there w/ more complicated answers.

Your anxiety is normal. It takes some of us a little time to adjust to the new friend. As much as they love you, family and friends without a device just cannot understand the adjustment we go through. That is why this site is so valuable.
Pins and Needle feeling

That could be the nerves knitting back together. I also felt a strong quick "stabbing" type feeling that really hurt for a quick second. It did go away after a few months.
The xray would be a concern to me though. I might request another look at the first xray with fresh eyes. I wouldn't like that explanation...maybe the 2nd xray was taken at the wrong angle??
Good luck to your Mom,
