I have been told numerous times im not gonna make it another day. First they gave me 1 day than, 2 months, 3 years, 8 years, she wont make it to graduation. Well now its i wont make it to 25. I got news for them im here to kick butt. Im here for a reason just like everyone else is. If anyone needs someone to talk to whether its someone who just received a implant or is fixin to. In the small town i use to be the youngest but we now have a four year old lil boy who now has one and he has the same condition i do. People are very supportive i was lucky to go to a school where everyone respected the fact i have 4 6" scars that may stick out.. especially down my chest. I have lived with them so to me that are what makes me. thanks for commenting

Hi Brandi I to just joined this site and I am 24 but I just received my first pacemaker on 6/6/13. It is nice to know that I am not the only 24 year old out there with one. This place seems wonderful and I am very glad that there is a place like this to come and not feel alone. I look forward to reading your comments.

Mary: im so glad there is someone i share this with. Its so hard to be in your 20s and not be able to enjoy things like everyone else can. Ive been coping with it my entire life and sometimes i understand that i can do what i want but also it hurts me so bad. my pacemaker is in my belly and has been since i was 1 because i was to small for it in my chest. i have several mess up scars from them trying new things and them not working. But to me the scars are what saved my life and i have proof of it. i have had bfs that say they couldnt take the stress of being with me and my heart condition. I just look at them and say than your not the one im ment to be with. I'm not goin to settle for someone who cant appreciate the face if it wasnt for this condition i wouldnt be the Strong person i am. There loss not mine. My friends always say my last name (strong) was given to me for a reason and i believe that everyday. I never let thiings get me down, i just look at life and smile because i could not be here the next min. Mary or anyone else if you need anything im here...

Welcome Brandi

Here's a shocker for everyone :)..... My patents divorced when I was 4 years old but they have both been by my side all my life. I know divorce is wrong and what not but I have the best step parents ever. My parents get along so great. They go to dinners together and have family things together. They all help me get through alot. I'm very Thankful for my family and friends.

I am "blown away" by your wisdom at such an early age..I suppose it comes from all you have lived through. You must have wonderful parents. I Love that you realize that you can probably be a great help to us with all you experience and you sound like that is what you want to do..Help others. WELCOME!!! Bev

Like everyone else here, I'm totally amazed with your attitude and zest for life. Along with all the others here, let me say "welcome to the club" ...Wear you scars proudly... You've earned them...If bf's can't accept you for who you are, they are not bf's to begin with.
The most impressive thing I've noticed is that you came here not looking for anything, but offering to help others in need. Such an altruistic, caring individual you are. You're beautiful...
Glad you found this site... Like others have said, we are a community of individuals sharing our lives, our conditions, our hearts...
So happy you found us...

You know you're wired when...
