Cough after pacemaker installment

My mom has pacemaker installed. Everything is going fine but she had severe cough after the installment. Consulted doctors and used medications but still no proper result.
Plz suggest any other medications and ways for its prevention.

Thanks

Cough...

Is she on BP meds? When I first went on BP meds back in 1998, I started having a severe cough. Don't know what made me start writing down the time I had it and it was just about every hour. Finally discovered it was the medicine that was causing it. Finally after trying many different kinds found one that didn't make me cough. Now that I had to get a PM, the one I was using wasn't doing the job and had to change again. Thank goodness, the new one is ok and no coughing.

The pacemaker was recently installed on 6-May-2013. She is also patient of Blood Pressure and Sugar. After the pacemaker she is using the following medicines:
Tab: Norvasc (For BP)
Tab: Metformin HCI (For Sugar)
and for the cough she sometimes uses Cetrizine for most kind of allergies.

It could be the meds , I dont have a coughing problem. I take Enalapril , Sotalol and Pradaxa ..... Check with the doctor and see ..... Some meds can cause "coughing" ........ remember to drink 64oz of water a day !

Good Morning....Also when I was having the problem with coughing, they put me on Allergy meds, which didn't work.
