Hi I have been pacing for 3weeks now. I have started having spasms on my right side that my wife says feels like a baby kicking to her. From reading the forum I see I am not alone. That certainly makes me feel better.

Hi Rex.
I can only offer you my experience and its outcome.About 2 years after implantation and after a period of very extensive exercise I began to experience a hiccup-like spasm in the region of my diaphragm. This ocurred after eating and drinking and when lying on my righthand side in bed.My GP and a EP nurse said it could not have anything to do with my PM but after checking found that my ventricle lead was damaged and needed replacement. This was done (both leads replaced) and I later learned that it was probable that the lead was shorting and the pulse was tracking to a nerve which affected the diaphragm.
I would certainly see my cardio.
Regards,
Graham

I experience kicks in my left side (inter costal muscle) when I bend over. Doc said it's due to position of one of my leads in proximity to a nerve passing nearby. Adjusted Sparky's output and that helped. Otherwise not a big deal in my case. Talk to the Doc, hopefully not a big deal for you, too.
You know you're wired when...
You have an excuse for being a couch potato.

I have had my pacer since 2005. At first it ruled my life. It took some time to calm down and make the mental adjustment. I had trouble sleeping and I worried a lot about pulling wires. Now I just live my life as I wish.
Not sure what this is but given

the numbers of PM holders here that have reported this symptom I'd call my Dr in the AM & get in to see him or her.
Hope its nothing but best to be sure,
Janet
