Sam has his 6 weeks post surgery check up today we are a little nervous he is afraid it will all have to be done again and all he wants is to go back to bring a normal 10 year old playing his sport and getting up to all sorts . He has been really well throughout recovery so here's hoping he has the okay this afternoon xx

Hi! Sarah, While I understand your concern, for Sam's sake try to remain positive and calm for Sam's sake. As the mother of a chronically child growing up, I can tell you it is so important to give your child confidence in his care, treatment and ability. A 10 year old can read you well, so hang in there. I understand waiting can be so hard when it involves our children. I once had a doctor ask me how I remained so calm with my sick child. I replied, "Can you not hear my knees knocking?". I will say a prayer that
Sam gets good news. Above all, be happy there is help available for Sam and he is receiving it. Hopeful Heart

Sarah, Your love for Sam and devotion to him come shining through. You have to feel so weary at times both emotionally and physically. Just remember we are here any time. I admire your strength. Hopeful Heart
Good luck!

I hope all goes well for Sam today, I'm sure he is eager to get active again (although if he's like other 10 year olds I'm sure he's already been plenty active!)

I still feel great today and cant stop feeling excited at my "new" life. Modern day miracles through medicine and electronic devices are amazing!
