B-i-L not Good Need Help

Posted a couple days ago about B-i-L getting surprissed by a PM implant immediately after having a fistula prepared for potential kidney dialysis.

Sister called me tonight. Suddenly suffering severe chest pains in center of chest. Echo sched for AM. feeling generally crappy & lost appetite.after feeling good yesterday.

Sounds like potential Pericarditis. Whether or not that's it, he's still in bad shape - bad diabetes, kidney failure verging on needing dialysis, overweight, hypertension; retains water badly, one bad knee & cannot walk w/o walker, both arms useless right now due to the two surgeries.

Those of you who are of the persuasion to do so, Dave in the Titusville, FLA, ICU needs a prayer - or two, or three.

Considering the situation, Sister holding up well.

The severe chest pain stopped as suddenly as it started! Looks like we can rule out Pericarditis. Did the Echo - no results yet.. Tomorrow will tell....

Final Re4port on B-i-L

It's a good one - finally. He went home from Hosp tonight. All his PM related issues settled down. As of Lasterday (Tues) Sis STILL hadn't heard results of Echo, but all had settled down - no chest pain, ECG trace was good on monitor. Swelling went down in arms & he was able to start using walker. He even ate hosp food, in spite of not liking it. Sis put her foot down on getting his butt out of the bed & walking if he did not want pneumonia. Also laid down the law on eating - don't eat, you will never get your sugar/Insulin levels squared away. She has a way w/ words - it might be the .44 Magnum she packs to use for punctuation points in sentences. I've never asked.

Thanks for the support you gave us. Another successful implant.
