To tell you the truth I never even give it a second thought. While growing up it never stopped me from doing anything and to this day my girlfriend or my kids need to remind me that I have one!

I'm 19 years old and I got my ICD implanted 11-27-12. The day of my surgery I was really scared but once they start giving your pain meds and anesthesia I was knocked out. I woke up crying and felt like there was a massive boulder on my left pec. However in this instance time heals and within 45 minutes I sucked up my tears and was eating a subway sandwitch with my right hand:p. Which every side the icd is getting implanted on makes that arm completely useless. March 1st will be here quicker than you know it! Wish you the best elle
