Numb arms then spacey dizziness

Last night not long after I went to sleep I woke up with sort of numb arms, I went back to sleep and didn't have a repeat of that feeling.

Today when I was driving my car, I had been driving for over half an hour when I suddenly felt like I was going to pass out. My vision was all wavey in front of me. I was on a four lane highway but luckily was able to get to the kerb and turn into a side street,

My heart was thumping wildly and I still felt like I might faint, even though I was sitting in the car.

I had my dual lead pacemaker implanted Jan 2013 and all seems to be going well.

I don't know if my heart was thumping because of the shock of nearly passing out in traffic or whether the thumping made me so spacey.

Any ideas??

I sat quietly till I felt better, had some water and drove him without incident, although very nervous.

Nothing else since and that was about five hours ago.

get seen

I agree with sunshinewishes, you need to be seen asap. If that happens again, do NOT drive, call someone to get your or even better, call emergency services to get you. Hopefully it's nothing, but if there is ANY chance of a cardiac/stoke event, you do not want to be behind the wheel.

Thanks for your posts

Hi nice people who responded to my post.

I saw my cardiologist this morning and he brought in the guy from Boston Scientific with his machine. All seems to be fine, had BP taken and there doesn't seem to be any heart related reason to my near blackout. ??? So who knows. I am feeling fine, no repeat of this incident. Let's hope I continue to feel fine. Happy wave from sunny Australia. Patricia

A pacemaker suddenly quitting is no more likely to happen than you are to be struck by lightening.
