Hi i have had my pacemaker a week today, i just wandered how long you waited before you could drive. My doc said wait a week but i gave it a little test drive tonight and i managed but could feel the pull on my shoulder when changing gears. I hate having to rely on people, so how long before you felt comfortable.
thanks

Three weeks down the line they will all be baying for clean pants..."give me a lift to ".......all that stuff..

In life we have to consider what is more important, the loss of the vanity or the gain of the life.
When YOU feel comfortable

As Suzie says, here in the UK, we have to wait 7 days before we can legally drive.
I had booked a holiday exactly 7 days after my PM implant and drove over 500 miles on Day 8 without any problems whatsoever.
But I guess we are all different. The action of driving should not cause any problems even with a manual gearshift. ... but if you don't feel comfortable wait a few days longer and then try again ( I had a sponge under the seat belt next to the implant area which helped )
Best of luck
Ian
