no sleep!

Hi Angry,
The programme was supervised by fully trained psychologists and the students were post grad. They told me I did not need as much sleep as I thought, but my reasoning is that you need enough to be able to function properly throughout the next day. They did not give me enough time to explain things though, rather like my EP.
I don't think it is anything to do with my heart as I have always been a bad sleeper even as a child, pm was put in after an ablation. After a seizure the body does its best to repair itself so a deep sleep will do that and most epileptics will sleep after a grand map seizure. (I used to be a nurse and have seen many epileptic patients have fits and then sleep deeply.)
I think I have tried everything so I suppose I have to put up with it.

PLEASE DO NOT SAY "HAVE FITS"

i am sure you mean well but we have epilepsy in our family and i am appalled a nurse would say 'have fits' it is very insulting to me and i believe the medical term is seizures. thank you .jessie

What is your amplitude set at? I had a lot of problems initially. They turned my amplitude down and it helped a lot. I'm set at 2 now. At 3 I had nothing but problems.

sleep

Hi Magiktaile
I am an insomniac too. I am feeling desperate as I only get about 3-4 hours. If I take pills I feel groggy, and still only get 5 hours, if I don't take pills I still feel groggy from lack of sleep. I don't have sleep apnoea. I have had sleep studies done and been through a research programme by psych students. I was their only failure. I don't know whether it has anything to do with cardiac issues, as that thought has never occurred to me. If you find anything out please let us know as I think there may be many more insomniacs out there.
